Local Golf Tournaments
Indian River Golf Foundation
The Indian River Golf Foundation encourages the more serious advancing players to seek Local Golf Tournaments beyond what the IRGF has to offer. This is recommended for individuals who aspire to compete at the high school and possible collegiate levels. The IRGF provides opportunities for ENTRY FEE scholarships in $200 increments up to $600 per year. Scholarship qualifications include submitting current academic reports, having participated in IRGF events including the Treasure Coast Junior Tour and Atlantic Junior Golf Tour along with serving as a Player Cadet assisting in IRGF training sessions or other IRGF golf activities. There are many Local Golf Tournaments and other opportunities that we highly recommend for those seeking challenges to improve their skills!
U.S. Kids Tour
U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours are created to provide boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, the opportunity to advance their skills in the game in age-appropriate competition without having to take the time and incur the costs of having to travel long distances. A Local Tour consists of between six and eight one-day tournaments including a season-ending one-day Local Tour Championship. Players earn awards and points for each tournament.
While events were traditionally only held for players between the ages of 5-14, beginning in the Summer of 2020, most U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours began including a new 15-18 age group to help young golfers and their families continue to create positive experiences throughout the player’s entire junior career.
Hurricane Tour (HJGT)
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 13 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Membership and tournament fees are required for members and non-members.

Florida Junior Tour (FJT)
Junior golf is an essential part of the Florida State Golf Association. For that reason, the FSGA conducts the Florida Junior Tour (FJT), several state Championships, and serves as the umbrella organization for more than 100 junior golf programs in Florida, including the Indian River Golf Foundation.
The FSGA launched the Florida Junior Tour in 2004 to benefit junior golfers throughout the state. Each year, the FJT organizes and conducts more than 40 high-quality, affordable competitions throughout Florida for boys and girls aged 9-18 years old.
All of the FJT tournaments are nationally ranked and the winners from each tournament earn exemptions into the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA).
The FJT is a favorite among college coaches. Nearly all college coaches use the website as a recruiting tool and many of them regularly attend FJT tournaments and are in contact with our staff.
A very high percentage of FJT players move on to play collegiate golf with many of them receiving a college golf scholarship.
American Junior Golf Association (AJGA)
The AJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
The AJGT is the highest-ranking youth golf tour in the United States and worldwide. AJGA tournaments receive the closest scrutiny of collegiate golf coaches.
Players are participants in AJGA events by invitation which is based upon performances gained at lower level tournaments
