IRGF Teaching Professional Melanie Mark
Our USGA Girls Golf – Treasure Coast Chapter is led by Melanie Mark. She is an outstanding leader and asset to the Indian River Golf Foundation.
Melanie Mark serves the Indian River Golf Foundation as a Teaching Professional, Tournament Administrator and Site Director for the LPGA*USGA Girls Golf – Treasure Coast Chapter.
Her passion is to promote the game of golf among youth with a primary focus on increasing golf awareness and interest. She has spent the majority of her life working and serving in the golf industry in several facets. Her family owned and operated a driving range with a putting course.
She played competitive professional golf on the Futures Tour (now the Symetra Tour). She has experienced a successful career in the golf maintenance industry.
While attending Florida Gateway College, Melanie performed a variety of golf course operations tasks as a staff member. She earned her Associate of Science – Golf Course Operations in 1993 at FGC.
As a golf course superintendent, Melanie served as Golf Course Superintendent at Sebastian Municipal Golf Course from 1994-1995. In addition, she served at Spessard Holland Golf Course, Melbourne, FL, Regional Superintendent for Brevard County golf courses, Habitat and Savannahs at Sykes Creek and IGM East Coast Regional Manager. She has supervised 12 Golf Course Superintendents and their respective facilities.
Melanie is an LPGA Class A Teaching Professional. In addition to the IRGF, she is active as a personal golf instructor for individuals by appointment at Sebastian Municipal Golf Course through her own business of Fore Ever Golf LLC.
Melanie’s activities include the Sebastian Women’s Golf League and Volunteer Golf Coach for Special Olympics – Indian River County.
Her strong work ethics and love for introducing golf to youth and adults makes for a solid relationship with the Indian River Golf Foundation.
