Other Winter Match Play Results

In other 18 Hole Boy’s Division matches:

SRHS senior Seth Williams earned a 1 UP victory over fellow SRHS teammate – freshman Zachary LongVaughn Addington took the Consolation Flight honors over Owen Dunham.



		

Rain, cold, clear, and then light rain at the end did not deter 51 youth players participating in the 5th Annual AJGT Winter Match Play.  Event #3 of the 2020-2021 Race for the Atlantic Junior Cup.  VBHS sophomore Jackson Hiller won his second consecutive AJGT event of the 2020-2021 season, 4 & 2 over high school teammate Peter Natoli.  Eighth grader, Dounia Bezzari, brought on a slew of pars and birdies to close out Ava DuMond 1 Up in the 18 Hole Girls Division.  Jackson and Dounia, each earn 10 points each in the Annual Race for the Atlantic Junior Cup which is a year-round points race for the top honors for 2020-2021.

The Indian River Golf Foundation is pleased to point out the outstanding efforts of Bela Nagy, Director of Golf at Sandridge Golf Club for once again providing a home for the joint Atlantic Junior Golf Tour / LPGA*USGA Girls Golf  – Treasure Coast Chapter event.  He is a friend of youth golf in Indian River County and beyond.

Thanks also for volunteers Renie Calkin (Player Check-In), Clay Reed, Zachary Long, Wray and Seth Williams.  Your contributions lead to the success of each event.  Players and parents may remember, it is the Renie Calkin Award that is presented each year to the girl/lady who demonstrates a high level of service to the game while meeting the many challenges in life.

Upcoming Events

After School TRADITIONAL Golf Training – FALL Series resumes next week Mondays – Thursdays through December  The WINTER Series is scheduled to begin the Week of January 4th.
